1. CS310M Single channel Potentiostat (Corrtest Instruments)
The single-channel potentiostat/galavanostat comes with a capability to perform electrochemical corrosion tests with EIS option (10μHz to 1MHz) and 2 A current range and 10 V potential range. (Image courtesy: http://www.corrtestinstruments.com)

2. Oxygen Respirometry optical sensor system (PyroScience GmbH)
Firesting-PRO is a 2-channel proprietary optical oxygen meter, capable of measuring real-time changes in O2 concentration in electrolyte as well as in the headspace. The setup is used to perform operando ORR, OER rate measurements, can be coupled with electrochemical polarization. The setup also comes with an attached Pt100 temperature sensor to monitor temperature simultaneously. (Image courtesy: pyroscience.com)

3. PC-operated electromechanical loading device (Cormet Testing Systems)
Cormet electromechanical test frame in the lab with a 25 kN load cell is capable of performing constant load, corrosion fatigue, and slow-strain rate testing both under aqueous and high-temperature conditions up to 800°C (the setup as has a 1000 W alumina tube furnace as accessory). It is our workhorse for the lab’s activities in environmentally assisted cracking studies. The device is also equipped with a DCPD system for precise crack growth studies. 4. Static Autoclave for high temperature, high pressure testing (Cortest, USA)
We have a 2.2 L C-276 Hastelloy body static autoclave with capability of 400oC, 5000 psi pressure. The autoclave can be coupled with loading frame to perform SSRT under high temperature high pressure conditions, with relevance to nuclear applications.

5. Electromechanical load frame (United Testing Systems, STM-20)
This frame has 100 kN capability. The frame can be used in tandem with the Cortest Autoclave to slow strain-rate test under high-temperature, high-pressure conditions. (Image source: Internet)

Advanced Ultrasupercritical Steam (AUSC) oxidation test loop
This is an unique facility in the entire country capable of running oxidation tests in AUSC power plant operating conditions, the loop was commissioned under the leadership of Prof. V.S. Raja (Emeritus Fellow, Dept. of MEMS, IIT Bombay). The loop runs tests at 710 C, 32 MPa, with precise control of dissolved oxygen (can go upto < 10 ppb). In future, it is envisioned to run stress corrosion cracking tests under AUSC conditions using this loop.

6. High temperature tubular furnaces
We have multiple high temperature tubular furnaces in our lab, used for both heat treatment and high temperature oxidation experiments.
